We help you live more affordably in our town.

The South Shore Open Doors Association (SSODA) launched in 2022 to offer Coordinated Access services. SSODA provides a single access point for residents to address housing and energy needs. Since its launch, SSODA quickly became a valued partner in addressing homelessness in Bridgewater.

If you are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, contact SSODA for support.

We’re working to help tenants, landlords, and homeowners in Bridgewater take charge of monthly energy bills. We know that housing affordability and energy costs are closely linked, and we support people experiencing challenges with housing and homelessness.

We’ve partnered with SSODA to provide assistance to residents, tailored to the challenges they’re experiencing.

  • Coordinated Access can connect you to all the services in our community through one central access point that prioritizes individuals and families based on need, and refers them to the programs best suited to help.

  • The Housing Support program helps clients find dignified housing that meets their needs.

  • The Trustee Program supports residents with financial management to pay rent and important utilities on time, preventing homelessness.

  • A Winter Overnight Shelter has opened in 2023. The shelter is located at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 25 Phoenix St, Bridgewater. It is open from 8pm to 8am from November 15th to April 15th.
